Bryant Lester is a CFP® professional on Dovetail’s planning team. He helps clients review retirement questions and the financial details connected to them.
Bryant also leads Dovetail’s introductory calls. He begins by learning what prompted someone to reach out and what they want help thinking through.
What Attracted Bryant to Financial Planning?
Bryant’s interest in financial planning began with his family. His grandfather was an entrepreneur and investor. His father helped people plan for retirement.
Their examples introduced Bryant to long-term investing and the careful use of debt. They also showed him how financial decisions can affect the future.
What Experience Does Bryant Bring?
Bryant earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He began his career at Advisor2X, a company focused on educating financial advisors.
He later returned to UNC Wilmington and earned his MBA.
Bryant holds the CFP® certification and the Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P) designation. His education and professional experience support his work with retirement planning and investment questions.
What Does Bryant Enjoy Outside of Work?
Bryant and his wife, Lindsay, live in Wilmington with their son, Miller, and a Saint Bernard. They are active members of Coastal Community Church.
The family enjoys spending time outdoors, especially near the water.
Sports have long been part of Bryant’s life. He played travel soccer and later joined the UNCW Club Soccer team.
Today, Bryant and Lindsay are active members of the Cape Fear Pickleball Club. They enjoy introducing other people to the game.
